Every day I face a multitude of choices that offer me an opportunity to practice Kindness. Whether it is letting someone with fewer items go ahead of me in the checkout line at the grocery store, or deciding to give The Stooges an extra spoonful of food, most choices give us the chance to be Kind.
Today I am deliberately taking things easy. Tomorrow and Thursday I travel to and from my doctors offices in Fredericksburg, which is 50 miles from the new apartment. Those trips will occupy the next 2 days, so I need to rest up for them. Taking the time to be kind to myself is a necessity.
I am thinking about treating myself to a salad later today because I deserve something nice every now and then. I also will cook this evening so Hal (person) and I can have a nice dinner in the new apartment.
