I took my shower early tonight because I finished everything I had to do today. I feel fantastic after my yoga session, followed by that relaxing shower.

I’m not sure when I’ll go to bed tonight, but hopefully, I’ll get a good nights sleep when I do. For now, I can relax and bask in that beautiful feeling that only comes from getting things done with time to spare.

Tomorrow is already scheduled to be a quiet day around here, with my highest task being laundry, as well as more yoga and some guitar practice. I’ll do whatever Hal wants because he goes in for eye surgery on Wednesday. For a change, it will be me taking care of Hal, but that’s fair.

My new guitar might arrive tomorrow; I’ll know more in the morning. I’m looking forward to it.

Expectations

Expectations

One way that I’ve learned to take control of my life, and my emotions, is to stop setting expectations like I used to. I still have expectations each day, but I’m more realistic about what those should be, and I take more time thinking about an expectation before putting it on my list.

Taking that extra step and thinking things through beforehand really simplifies things. If I treat expectations like any other potential worry, my life gets better almost immediately.

The main thing is to stop worrying about so many things. Life is too short and shouldn’t be spent being miserable.
