Slowly Falling Apart

One of the things about getting older that I’m not exactly a fan of is the feeling that I’m slowly falling apart. Weight just seems to come from breathing and feels impossible to shed. Nagging aches and pains just get more pronounced and aggravating.
I’ve been doing basic yoga and I can feel the difference. I also feel the effects of the stretching; I hope this goes away over time. Arthritis has appeared in my fingers, so I got compression gloves to help with the swelling and feeling of joints popping.
Turning back the hands of time is a tall order. I’ll do the best I can. I must say that my meditation makes a huge difference. I don’t think I would have the self-discipline to carry on without the mental strength that meditation gives me.
I will do my best to get into better shape. That’s a promise I’m making to myself.
