Getting There

Getting There

It’s been one week since we moved to the new apartment, and we are at 90% plus with organizing things around here. Taking our time is the best decision we’ve made in quite some time. One room remains to get our attention. Actually, the room is mostly done, but things need to be arranged better and tidied up.

Once that space is ready, I will have room to practice guitar and make time for myself. We have so much more space here compared to where we left. Of course, the air quality is so much better. We are convinced that there was mold in the old apartment. I’m breathing so much better here. One of the things I did after arriving here was to wash all my clothes and bed linens to get the old apartment smell out of them.

Hal and I love the new place. I know we’ll be very happy here, and we hope to be here for a long time. I finally got properly acquainted with the new kitchen today by making chicken breasts and assorted sides. Lots more room here and everything turned out beautifully and delicious.

It’s a rather dreary day outside, but no rain for the most part. We don’t have anywhere we need to go, so besides cooking and some room arranging, it is a peaceful day around here. We’ll see what the weekend has in store for us when tomorrow arrives.

I did make a trip to the grocery store that was needed. Thankfully, I got home before the weather turned bad, as it is forecasted to do later in the evening. For now, I’m going to rest and enjoy the evening here.
