R.E.M.

My playlist for sound is from R.E.M., a band that I started following because they started out playing SEC college towns when I was a student at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. I saw the band multiple times at local clubs and bars, and there was something special about them even then.

I don’t claim to be a psychic, but I didn’t suspect that they would become as famous as they eventually did. The band always treated fans with the utmost respect, something other bands could learn from.

R.E.M. decided to step away when they were on top of the world. They said that it was best to leave on top rather than slowly decline and become shadows of themselves.

The band left us with timeless classic songs that always make me feel something incredible, but slightly different each time I hear them.
