My Friday

I needed this day off work after a sleepless night, during which I felt like crap. Although I haven’t managed to get any sleep so far today, I feel better without the job stressing me.

I have to make a trip to the grocery store this afternoon for a few necessities, but I think that will be the extent of my travels unless Hal wants or needs to take care of something else. I predict that I will make a few phone calls this evening and then settle in with Hal to watch a movie or two before bedtime. I know that I will also have the weekend to recover from whatever made me feel so awful last night. I have a few suspicions about the cause, but I have no proof yet either.

The TV has been off most of the day after Hal found out about trump and COVID. I heard the news via social media late last night, but I didn’t wake Hal to tell him that. Days like this were made for Jazz or Classical music to enhance my mood and improve my outlook. Thank goodness for my AirPods, so I don’t have to worry about disturbing Hal while he takes a nap. I wish that I could fall asleep as quickly as he can.

One other thing that has kept me busy is laundry. There’s no point in putting the job off. I might as well get it done while I have the energy. There are a few more loads to get through, but not all have to finish today.

I found some of my hoodies buried in the closet, and I am wearing one now to ward off the early October chill in the air. Luckily, they still fit, so I don’t have to worry about replacing them this fall. It helps to buy them in a large size to wear a shirt comfortably underneath the hoodies.

I guess that summarizes my day off for now. It feels so good to write again!!
