I Need Sleep

I am getting older and there is no stopping the process. It seems like every afternoon or early evening I fall asleep in the chair in the living room, with my head falling forward, and remaining there until Hal (person) wakes me up and tells me to go and lay down. In addition to the incredibly sore neck, my pride is hurt because I fell asleep without meaning to. I was defeated by the march of time as my body let me down.

There is no reason to be ashamed about needing more rest. In fact, I know that this demonstrates that I am not getting enough rest right now. Staying awake would be much easier if I wasn’t so tired by the time I finish work each afternoon. I just need to accept this, take more naps and get to bed earlier each night. I also need to exercise more. Sadly, I have missed a session or two of DDP Yoga because I have just been too tired to even go through the motions. I really despise myself for that above all else.

With all of that said and out of the way, immediately after work this afternoon we will go to the grocery store and pick up necessities and then I am coming back home and taking a nap. I also resolve to get to bed before 2200 this evening and to make both practices a habit from now on. The rest will give me the strength and that will let me get back into the DDP Yoga routine as well.
