Adjusting

Trying something new is always an adventure. Sometimes the adventure is positive, and sometimes we wish we would have left well enough alone. Most of the time the results are somewhere in the middle.

Hal’s schedule changed a few minutes ago. I’ll be off the hook for taking him to the tax office. This change means that I can stay home and get some rest. I can order something for dinner and also get used to this new means of publishing my blog posts this evening. Tomorrow is Friday and I will be going to the client’s office tomorrow.

This Day Is Longer Than Expected

I am wearing down quickly this morning. The sinus troubles have started once again. My stopped up or running like a faucet with a worn-out washer nose provides no middle ground. In the meantime, my meeting is still more than an hour away, and I wonder if I will be able to last until then of things don’t improve soon. I don’t want to take any more time off from work, but I also have to take care of myself at the same time.

Hal (person) informed me that he needs me to take him to pick up his taxes this afternoon once work for me is over, and of course, I will take him. I might take that opportunity to grab something to eat for dinner. I think it is more likely that I will order something to be delivered once Hal’s appointment is over. Pizza is an option, but other places offer delivery in the area. I cooked for several nights in a row and am ready for a change this evening.

If I could make a decision right now, I would crawl back into bed and turn off the lights and wait for tomorrow. Sadly, I cannot make that decision right now. I must endure the rest of this day. I hope I feel better soon.

Getting The Day Started

I finally managed to extricate myself from Hal and Jax to get my day started here. I am running on fumes due to lack of sleep, but I will push through the day because I have my weekly meeting to conduct before lunchtime. Thankfully, the afternoon filled with conference calls, so I can blend into the background and be quiet. I have no plans for after work other than to stay home and rest before Friday.

The new procedure for getting my blog posts published seems to be running smoothly. I am relieved that things are working as I hoped. I don’t want to make any more significant changes for a while if I can avoid them.

A New Approach

One thing that I always am trying to find is a better way to get my blog posts created with a streamlined process that requires very few steps. I just cannot leave things as they are when it comes to my blog. I reinstalled IFTTT and created a trigger for any Evernote post with a specific tag to automatically create a new WordPress post.

Hopefully, I’ll be satisfied with this for a while. The IFTTT trigger runs periodically, and there are times when it seems to take forever, but that is a part of adjusting to the new process.

Morning Wish

I wish I was more motivated in the morning. I love cooking but I hate getting out of bed to make breakfast. I would love an omelette, but the thought of all that work first thing in the morning makes me want to crawl right back into bed.

Most mornings I just settle for something right out of the refrigerator instead of cooking and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
