Yesterday was my birthday. I turned 55 years young, and I feel wonderful on the day after. Hal gave me two beautiful gifts in the morning before I checked my phone. I received a few text messages wishing me a Happy Birthday, I responded to them but got no reply. Such is life in the 21st century I suppose.
I took Hal to work in the morning and spent the day around the apartment wondering what I should do. I nearly went out and spent some money on a gift to myself, but common sense prevailed, and I still have my money.
I picked Hal up from his job late in the afternoon and then he asked me where I wanted to go for dinner. I ended up choosing Bonefish Grille since it is close to home and the food is always excellent.
We came home and spent a quiet evening together.
Today was a holiday, and it was frigid outside, so we stayed at home. I slept in very late, but I woke up feeling refreshed. Since Hal had to work this evening, he took a nap, and I drove him to work and am waiting for him to call me and let me know he is ready to come back home.
This post describes how I feel on the day after. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
