It was only a matter of time before the inevitable occurred with the Keystone Pipeline XL project that had been approved to start doing business by the republican President Donald Trump in 2017. For the years 2014-2016, the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and other Native American groups who lived near their only water supply where the pipeline was being been built, had been protesting the project, which they say would imperil their water supplies and disturb sacred burial and archaeological sites.
On Thursday, the 16th day of November, the pipeline sprung a leak.
